Mozaika is the home-automation side of GS Construction — a family remodeling company in the Chicago suburbs since 2015. We did not start by selling smart homes. We started by living in one, fixing everything that annoyed us about it, and noticing that the houses we were already remodelling deserved the same care.
A real house as the showroom
Everything on this site runs in our own home, every day — the keypads, the party switch, the hallway that knows there are people over. You can watch it live on the home page. If it did not survive us, it would not go in your home.
Builders, not just installers
The same crew that opens your kitchen wall closes it. We plan keypads, shade power and speaker wire into the drawings, so nothing is stuck on afterwards.
Yours, not ours
The brain of your home lives in your home, on hardware you own, without a monthly fee to keep the lights working. Leave us tomorrow and everything still works.
How we work
We don’t sell hardware.
Mozaika is a service, not a store. We use what you already have and build the system around it.

What you already have
Your bulbs, your TV, your speakers, your shades, your thermostat. Most of it can join as it is. The plan tells you, item by item, what will and what will not.

A system built around it
One brain in your home gets all of it working together. If something is genuinely missing, the plan names it and you buy it wherever you like.

No pitch
The walk-through is free and ends with a one-page plan with prices for our work. Nothing to buy on the day.
How it started
One hallway light
It began with a hallway light that turned itself off in the middle of every party. Fixing that properly — not with another app, but with a rule the house could keep on its own — led to the lights following the sun, the receiver following the console, and the dishwasher texting when it was done. Within a year, a dozen brands that had never heard of each other were answering to one place.
Friends asked for the same. Then clients whose kitchens we were remodelling asked why their new pendants came with a plastic dimmer and a phone app. Mozaika is the answer to both: the automation side of a remodeling company, done the way we did it at home, by people you can text.
