What happens next

1 Walk-through. We come to your home, listen to how you live — mornings, movie nights, people over, going to bed — and look at what is already on the walls and in the cabinets.
2 A one-page plan. What we would do in each room, built around what you already own, and what our work costs.
3 Install. Your keypads, bulbs, shades and speakers placed, wired and taught to work together, with a tidy network under them.
4 Tune. We live with it for two weeks and adjust: a dimmer that comes on too bright, a hallway that times out too soon, a shade that should wait for the sun..
5 Care. Updates, seasonal tuning and a person to text when something feels off.
